When a custom tool makes sense
An existing platform may handle core records well but miss a specific workflow. Instead of replacing everything, a dedicated workspace, interface or module may fit. We compare custom development with configuring an existing solution and consider ongoing maintenance.

Together, we identify users, actions and data. We describe the main workflow and exceptions: invalid input, insufficient permissions, concurrent edits or unavailable integrations. This helps agree on the scope of the first version.

What we need for an estimate
A finished technical specification is optional. Explain who will use the tool, how the task is handled today and which systems it must connect to. If it replaces part of a spreadsheet, a description of fields and rules is enough to start, without real customer data.
